Poster Making - Reflective journal
As part of EDGCT5007 students were to form small teams with each team collaboratively creating a poster in regards to a specific topic. According to Boxtel et al (2000, p.313) "collaborative learning may be the notion that social interaction stimulates elaboration of conceptual knowledge", or in other words, working together may promote the process of concept learning or "learning that will last" (Hunt & Chalmers, 2012, p.110). With collaborative larning students increase their knowledge through both shared talk, where ideas are build-on, and fact-finding talk, where ideas are critically and constructively discussed..
