Creation of my e-Portfolio

In 2009 I used wikispaces as a platform to design a resource for a unit of competence as part of an assessment for the Graduate Diploma of VET. Although enjoyable, it was hard work. Carefully planned lay-outs often didn't work and many different fonts seemed to have been 'used' throughout. Constructing this e-Portfolio, or Weebly as I kept calling it, filled me with enthusiasm and excitement, occasionally staying up late to add to it, read articles or chapters in books and literally reflect on that I had learned or read. I feel I have fully embraced it as an assessment tool for this course and once I am fully 'skilled' in the art of e-Portfolios, or Personal Development Portfolios, I will attempt to include it as part of the distance delivery of the certificate IV in Allied Health Assiatcne course.

Reflecting on my own learning style I realised that beside having a Solitary (Intrapersonal) Learning style I am definitely visual. I need colour, pictures and breaking things up with columns. Is it because beside reading normal booked I read a lot of comic books? Not 'Donald Duck' or 'The Phantom', but real stories supported by great drawings (see pictures below). I still have those books and would never let go of them. I also do not like my pages to be too long and as such tend to use tabs a lot to break things up; this may mean I need to be careful not to have too many tabs otherwise you won't be able to see the 'information through all the tabs'. I look forward to building on this e-Portfolio over the course of my study
