Background information
Born in 1965 under the name Leonie Mathilde Halter I have always been called Tilly (like my grandmother from my mother's side). The first 25 years of my life I lived in Amsterdam (The Netherlands) where I also studied to become a physiotherapist and on December 12, 1990 I arrived in Australia (Melbourne) as a migrant.
I started work in Beechworth two months later and never looked back. Now, almost 25 years, a few different jobs, a husband and two children later, I am still in the same area as where I first settled..
My life on this side of the planet has been completely the opposite as my life in the Northern Hemisphere. From a bussling city, where women display their body behind glass, tourist come to experience marihuana and with a high percentage of multiculturalism (mainly people from Suriname, Marocco and Turkey), I now live on a farm with sheep, cows, chooks and a few pets and where our nearest beighbour is at least 500m away. I wouldn't have it any other way.
Objective: To work in a stimulating environment and use my skills, knowledge and capabilities to an optimum level.
Profile:
~ 24 years experience as a physiotherapist, especially in the field of musculo-skeletal disorders
~ 2+ years experience as Team Leader at Community Services & Health (Wodonga TAFE)
~ Ability to work solo and as a member of a multi-disciplinary team
~ Organised, highly motivated and willing to learn new skills; not afraid of constructive criticism
